CHECKS
1. Check for following fluid levels:
- Water / Coolant level in Radiator, and Top up the level after starting the tractor at idle RPM.
- Oil level in Engine sump, governor and air cleaner.
- Transmission oil level.
- Diesel in Fuel tank (Tractor).
- Electrolyte level in Battery.
2. Check for any leakage from:
- Radiator circuit.
- Fuel circuit.
- Oil circuit.
- All Drain Plugs.
TEST PROCEDURE AND CONCLUSION
1. Check for Neutral gear and start the tractor.
2. Rotate steering wheel in clockwise and anticlockwise direction, it should be free.
2. Check the stopper position whether it is touching Stubaxle walls on both LH / RH sides or not, if not then check stroke of Cylinder and adjust location of Cylinder through ball end fitted at one end of the Cylinder.
3. Measure stroke of Cylinder, it should be 185 ± 5 mm.
4. Number of revolutions of steering wheel should not exceed 4 for Lock to Lock revolution of LH / RH Steering arm.
5. Time lag should not be there, between action and reaction, i.e. Front wheel should move simultaneously with the rotation of Steering wheel.
6. Keep the Front wheel in straight position and count the revolution of Steering wheel for complete LH / RH turning of Front wheels individually.
i. For Unbalance Cylinder Difference between LH / RH revolutions should not exceed 1.
ii. For Balance Cylinder Difference between LH / RH revolutions should be 0, i.e. No. of revolution of Steering wheel for LH / RH turning should be equal.
7. Check Turning Radius, it should be within limits w.r.t. Tractor model, Tyresize, etc.
8. After Test, check for any leakage or noise from the oil flow circuit of Power steering
