1. Temperature:
- Natural Ambient = 40° C To 48° C
PREPARATION
1. Remove all the rear side accessories (i.e. Trailer hook, Linkage drawbar, PTO cover, etc.) from the tractor taken for test.
2. Install the tractor on dynamometer with coupling shaft and PTO shaft.
3. Put ambient temperature sensor on the stand, nearly 500mm away from radiator, in front of the Tractor.
4. Insert coolant temp sensor in the water inlet and outlet hose pipe, which is connecting water pump to radiator at the lower and upper side and make it airtight with m seal.
5. Insert temp sensor at the gauge point where the coolant temp indicator sensor is actually fitted.
CHECKS
- Water / Coolant level in Radiator, and Top up the level after starting the tractor at idle RPM.
- Oil level in Engine sump, governor and air cleaner.
- Transmission oil level.
- Diesel in overhead tank (Dynamometer) or Fuel tank (Tractor).
- Electrolyte level in Battery.
- Radiator circuit.
- Fuel circuit.
- Oil circuit.
- All Drain Plugs.
- Check for any air bubble in the fuel pipeline. If any, then remove it by bleeding.
- Check that parking brake is applied and wedges are placed against both front and rear wheels.
- Check for proper alignment (/ / within 2°) of coupling shaft and PTO shaft.
- Check for greasing and leakage in Dynamometer.
- Check for Dynamometer water pressure.
- Check any abnormal noise from carden shaft, after engaging PTO lever.
TEST PROCEDURE
- Check for Neutral gear and start the tractor.
- Engage the PTO drive by operating PTO lever.
- Slowly increase the RPM of engine up to max. RPM by throttle lever and lock it.
- Now by rotating gray button on dynamometer panel slowly increase the load (torque) until the rpm reduces to 2100 rpm for 3 Cyl and 2200 rpm for 4 Cyl i.e. at max power as per gear ratio on digital PTO rpm indicator.
- Take 12 reading each after 5 minutes. Note down amb temp, engine water inlet temp, engine water outlet temp, temp at gauge point and at pressure
- Similarly adjust the engine rpm upto 1200 engine rpm for 3 cyl and 1400 engine rpm for 4 cyl i.e. at max torque as per gear ratio on digital pto rpm indicator.
- Take 12 reading each after 5 minutes. Note down amb temp, engine water inlet temp, engine water outlet temp, temp at gauge point and at pressure
PRECAUTION
The test should be stopped as soon as the temp at gauge point reaches 110°
